Say hello to Sanam. She is as kind as she is beautiful. I had the opportunity to photograph Sanam a few months ago to assist her in her journey to start a non profit organization. The goal was to have her come across as someone who is reputable while simultaneously being approachable and down to earth.

They grow up so fast

Very late posting of a CSUN grads moment to remember standing in 90 degree weather while trying to give the impression that she is not sweating, or wrinkling her freshly pressed black robes. Good luck to all 2012 grads entering the real world! Its gonna be rough!

So, you want to know what Viscom is. Viscom is a creative studio and think tank that is located on the Campus of California State University Northridge. Viscom is short for, The Visual Communication Center. At Viscom, there are real world opportunities for students to learn and work as real designers with real clients. So far this has been treated as a sort of 5 year experiment. Every year there are new students that enter the studio as others graduate and find jobs in the world of art and Graphic Design. During this summer of 2012, Viscom inherited some new members. I am lucky to be one of  them! As the official photographer of the current team, I thought it would be a great idea to be able to photograph the new members. Here, are just a few of the incredible designers that occupy our studio.

This was a pretty old shoot. I had the opportunity to work with the upcoming vocalist and songwriter Shani. A pretty cool cat who's down to Earth and pretty much a totally lovely person. During this shoot, I decided to play with mood and sensation by using my lensbaby! Decided not to use it too much since I still need to get the hang of it.

End of the semester manifestations of beauty

Another year, another semester. I think its pretty safe to say that I haven't posted anything new here for over a semester. It would explain a lot things. I HAVE been working and producing work though. Just very busy. Here is a an image that has no value other than beauty that will hopefully please the few people that visit this sad and neglected photography blog

This is one of the things that I miss most from Brazil. Passion fruit pudding.

I do apologize for having these images come so slowly. I've decided that my blog will show just the highlight of my trip. The things that I remember or don't want to forget.

Journey to Brazil Part 1

Ola! Only yesterday did I return from a 3 week long trip to Brazil. What business did I have in Brazil? Zouk Lambada! Don't know about it? Learn it, and love it. Since I was too scared to take my SLR, I ended up buying a snazzy little point and shoot that did the job nicely. Hopefully over the next few days, you'll be able to see bits and pieces of my trip. First stop was in Miami where we had a 10 hour layover :P Our consolation prize? Miami beach, of course.
